Young Warriors classes are fun and interactive and designed specifically for ages 8 and up! Your children will learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu directly from the source, Master Ricardo Murgel.
Our Young Warriors learn self defense and anti-bullying, physical fitness and social skills in a fun and encouraging manner. The children’s class helps to develop gross motor skills, cooperation and simple defensive skills. All of our children’s classes help to foster discipline, cooperation and develop self confidence and awareness in our students.
During the class, students learn takedowns, takedown defense, and submissions. At the end of class, students participate in a sparring session where they will grapple with each other allowing the student to apply the techniques taught during the first half of the class. The classes are taught in a high energy, fun environment with an emphasis on physical fitness and discipline.
Our classes are kept small so your child can receive individualized attention from Master Ricardo Murgel.
The focus of the Fundamentals/Beginner class is entirely on technique. Master Ricardo Murgel leads the class and focuses on teaching fundamental techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo for Jiu Jitsu. Students practice various techniques using a traditional Gi, also known as a kimono. Students learn and practice takedowns, submissions, escapes, positioning and self defense. The fundamentals class is directed not only for the beginner but also for the more advanced students to sharpen basic techniques. We require this because there are core techniques that are essential to learn before progress in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is possible. Building a formative base of skill and technique is what is emphasized in the Fundamentals/Beginner class.
We purposely keep each of classes small to provide individualized attention from Master Ricardo Murgel. You won't find this level of expertise and attention anywhere!
In the Intermediate/Advanced class, Master Ricardo Murgel focuses on the finer details and alternatives in the techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The class is used in conjunction with our Fundamentals class to build on the students base of knowledge and experience. In this class, our students learn more advanced techniques in takedowns, submissions, and escapes. For students new to BJJ, there is a pre-requisite of 60 days in the Fundamentals before you may join the Intermediate/Advanced class.
Each of our classes are purposefully kept small in number to provide each of our students individualizd attention from Master Ricardo Murgel. We urge you to 'Dare to Compare' if any other school offers you this kind of focused attention from an 8th degree Master.
No Gi is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu without the Kimono (Gi). It is taught twice a week by Master Ricardo Murgel. Students will learn the art of grappling, takedowns and submissions.
This is a great class to enhance your gi training. Training in No Gi will give you an edge over your opponents who don't!
